I am an expert

by Robert Greer

Trying to help an attractive Swedish tourist at a ticket machine

Playing the role of legitimate human

Comfortable in my skin, familiar with the ways of my homeland

I quickly embarrassed myself

By accidentally stealing her money

I put it on my card, I was confused

There were too many cards

I don’t know how it happened

I gushed apologies

The orange men were brought in to revive me

I skipped down to the platform tail between legs

Like a drunk hare dancing on egg shells
